1) What is Plasma?
Did you know that 99% of the universe is Plasma? Plasma is the 4th state of
matter – Solid, Liquid, Gas, Plasma. The word “PLASMA” was first applied to “ionized
gas” by Dr. Irving Langmuir, an American chemist and physicist in 1929.1
Plasma is a mixture of ions and free moving electrons. Energy is needed to
strip electrons from atoms to be able to produce plasma. This “energy” may come
from: thermal, electrical, or light. With insufficient energy, plasmas recombine into
neutral gas.2
On Earth, plasma cannot naturally exist. Through science plasma can be
artificially-produced through various method.
Aller Plasma Nano+ uses the nano ceramic dielectric barrier discharge (DBD)
method to artificially-produce plasma.
Today, plasma provides many practical uses such as for new manufacturing
techniques, biomedical, waste removal, surface cleaning, semiconductors,
agriculture, wound healing, sterilization, air purification, and more.
2) How does it work?
Aller Plasma Nano+ uses the nano ceramic dielectric barrier discharge (DBD)
method to artificially-produce plasma.
When this plasma is diffused in the air, it contains a mixture of positive and
negative ions that are very unstable. To become stable, plasma ions cause a chemical
reaction that break the bonds of bacteria, virus cells, and harmful substances like
VOCs, breaking down their molecular structure
3) Nano+ is not like the old Aller Plasma Box anymore?
We converted the Aller Plasma Cover (where the plasma generator was located)
into a portable device that has more applications not limited to the 70-Liter old Aller box.
More affordable, more functions, more powerful.
4) Can I use the nano+ without plugging into a socket?
Yes. The built-in battery can be used for up to three (3) hours when fully-charged.
5) Is it rechargeable?
Yes. Charging time is approximately 2 hours.
6) What is the recommended space it can sterilize?
Recommended space if from 3cm3 up to 30 cm3. That is a size of an average small
room.
7) Can I use it in the car?
Definitely. Press the button and choose the green light (Eco Mode) function.
8) Is it safe to turn on Nano+ when there are people inside the room? Or car?
Yes.
10) What is the difference between Plasma and UV Light?
Both are effective sterilization processes but using different methods.
Plasma is ionized gas. Since gas is in air form, it can penetrate the hard-to-
reach areas. Plasma can be used to sterilize different type of material without
causing items to corrode. There is no heat, no water, so even sensitive items are
safe to sterilize.
It is also safe to use even when there are people around. It acts as a sterilizer
and an air disinfectant at the same time.
UVC Sterilization uses “light” as an effective method to sterilize. Since light
cannot “bend”, you see most UVC sterilizers have a “mirrorized” interior lining to
allow the light to “bounce” back to reflect on all angles.
For UV light to be effective, light should shine and pass through ALL SIDES
of the item being sterilized.
When used as a room sterilizer, nobody should be inside the room as direct
exposure may be harmful to your skin and eyes.
Two different methods, but the same goal, to sterilize.
11) Is Nano+ like an air purifier?
Nano+ is a plasma generator device that can disinfect air and surrounding
surfaces. It diffuses plasma air in the surrounding environment and actively kills harmful
pathogens, bacteria, viruses, as well as removes odors and VOCs (Volatile Organic
Compounds) such as Tobacco, Smoke, Formaldehyde, Benzene, etc.
Most traditional air purifiers use the filtration method. This means, air is
vacuumed inside these filters and release back as filtered air. These filters need to be
replaced every six to eight months for it not to breed bacteria and efficiently filtrate the
air.
Nano+ can work together with your existing air purifiers and may prolong the “life”
of your filters.
12) What materials or items can Nano+ sterilize?
Nano+ can sterilize any type of material without causing damage to the item. You
may sterilize: plastic, silicone, rubber, leather, paper, textile, glass, even fresh produce
like fruits and vegetables.
13) Does it emit Ozone?
Aller Plasma Nano+ O3 emission is lower than < 0.05ppm which is the international
standard safe level ozone emission for humans. The discharge region (DBD) of the Nano+
is coated with Nano Titanium Dioxide to inhibit the production of O3.
14) What does 5-year service life mean?
The Nano+ has a five (5) year service life for its DBD region. In theory, the nano
ceramic DBD region can last up to 100,000 hours. That is equal to 11 years!
However, we took into account other internal parts of the Nano+ such as the internal
fan, built-in battery, as well as proper maintenance.
(insert actual image here of DBD region)
15) Do I need to change filters? Light bulbs? Any other consumables?
No. Nano+ does not need any filter nor bulb replacements. Imagine where these
non-recyclable consumables will be dumped?
16) What is the maximum space it can sterilize?
Recommended space is up to 30 cubic meters (cm3).
1 cubic meter = 1000 Liters
30 cm3 = 30,000 Liters capacity
(as compared to the old Aller 70-L box)
*We use 30cm3 and not cm2.
Cubic meters is for a 3-dimensional space,
Square meters is for a 2-dimensional space.
17) How long is sterilization time?
If used inside an enclosed storage box (e.g. 70L)
Recommended: At least 15 minutes.
If used inside a car with people or pets:
Recommended: Turn it on green light (Eco-mode) the whole car ride duration.
If used inside a small room:
Recommended: Turn it on red light (Enhanced Mode) for at least 1 hour or may turn
the device ON the whole time.
Please note that indoor air quality differ per environment.
*For a room with poor air ventilation and full of people, it would be best to use the
Nano+ device continuously.
18) Can I use the Nano+ to sterilize my grocery items?
Definitely. We suggest you bring your portable Nano+ with you and start sterilizing your
items at the back of your car while on your way home. Saves you time!
19) Does it come with a warranty?
a. Limited one (1) year warranty.
b. Warranty covers any manufacturing or technical defect, excluding breakage.
c. Warranty form should be emailed to support@allerplasma.com within
thirty (30) days from date of purchase. Failure to do so will lead to warranty
being null and void.
d. Warranty is void if repairing without the company consent or warranty seal
is broken.
e. Warranty does not cover faults resulting from:
i. Normal wear and tear.
ii. Careless handling or not following user guide.
iii. Rough handling, alteration, and/or modification.
iv. Electric shock.
20) Can Aller Plasma Nano+ kill harmful bacteria viruses?
Yes. (Please see Certifications attached.)
21) Can it remove odors and VOCs?
Yes. (Please see test results attached.)
22) Can it be used to sterilize fruits and fresh produce?
Yes. It may prolong the shelf life of your fresh produce.
23) How do I use the device properly?
Like any other gadget or home appliance, proper handling is a must to extend its
service life. Please maintain your Nano+ like how you take care of your smartphones.
24) Can I use it in the toilet?
Yes you can with proper precaution. Since it comes with a built-in battery, please
do not place it on wet surfaces to avoid electrical damage.
